Teacher Personal Stories Part 2
November 1, 2022
For today’s Personal Story we have the History Teacher. Legend the Myth, Mr.J. Today he is going to talk about weird things his kids have said.
Mr. J
After reading what Frau Karns wrote about her kids, I thought about strange things my kids say/have said.
Currently, my son Carter (eight-years-old) calls everyone “bro”, including me and my day. Some nights are busy with activities, and he typically only has about an hour after he gets off the bus to get started with homework or eat dinner before we have to head to soccer or taekwondo. I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to get him moving, so we can get out of the house on time and have heard “Chill bro. Chill.” So that’s awesome, having an eight-year-old tell me to chill. Or hearing him ask my dad to go outside and throw the football by saying “Yo bro, let’s go out and play catch.” Great times
My daughter when she was about two or three (she’s almost six now), called the concession stand at KASA the “secession stand”. We haven’t let her live that one down. But now it’s getting a bit awkward because she still calls it that (even though we’ve corrected her countless times). So she’ll be at the KASA fields with her friends asking to go get “puffy Doritos at the secession stand” (Cheetos at the concession stand). I’ve only gotten a few dozen strange looks, so it’s not too bad.
