Lots of Things are Changing

Not only a lot of Teenage Girls hair but also Their Lifestyles

Due to Covid-19 many things have changed in the last few months. Every student’s schedule and lifestyle has changed in the matter of a few weeks. Every person has a different way of reacting to crisis so each person is adjusting to this change in a different way.  Sometimes observing others reactions or  actions to something like this can not only be interesting, but teach you something in the process.

List the one thing each day that stood out:

One thing that stood out to me each day I was home was how while I was in school I always wished I didn’t have to go, but now that I can’t go that’s all I want to do. It’s strange to see for myself how we are always wishing for something different. I think a lot of other students could say the same. As I talk to my friends I get the feeling that I’m not the only one who feels that way.

What is the one thing I will miss the most from school?

The one thing I will miss most from school is getting to see my friends and (some)teachers. Until I wasn’t in school I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed seeing my friends everyday. Although I don’t enjoy school very much, I do enjoy getting to see my friends on a daily basis. Not interacting with people on a daily basis can affect many things including mental health. Although some people enjoy being distant or not interacting with people as often, this change can affect others a lot.

What are you observing other people doing?

In the past couple weeks I have observed lots of different people and how those people are acting and reacting to the recent situation of Covid-19. Some people are panicking and trying to stock up and prepare to stay home for a long time. Others have already started staying home trying to decrease their chances of getting the coronavirus. Finally there is the group of people who just don’t seem to care. These people haven’t changed their day to day schedule at all due to the coronavirus. From seeing these different groups of people it shows me how everyone has a different way of reacting to crisis.

What are you wearing everyday and why?

Since I have been spending so much time in my house by myself I can not remember the last time I wore real clothes. My outfits from the last week have consisted of sweatpants with a large t-shirt. I can’t remember the last time I wore jeans, put makeup on, or had my hair in anything other than a messy bun.

    Q and A

What is something you missed while away from school

    Student Name: Caitlyn Goldinger

    Grade: 11

“Definitely my friends 100%, it is a lot to take in when you are so used to seeing them almost every single day and then to have that be taken away from you in such a short period of time makes you realize how much you took seeing those people everyday for granted. We kinda got that taken away from us without much of a notice. We didn’t really process the fact that the last day we were at school would be the last time we see our friends for a good while.”
