PARENTS’ FIRST/ LAST NAMES: Patti and Randy Massa
INSTRUMENT: Violin
NUMBER OF YEARS PLAYING/SINGING: I’ve been playing violin for 7 years (since 5th grade)
AWARDS/ RECOGNITION: I’ve been to PMEA orchestra for the past three years. Freshman year I was 7th chair for the KHS orchestra, Sophomore year I was 3rd chair, Junior year I was 2nd chair, and this Senior year I was the first chair of the KHS orchestra.
FUTURE PLANS/ COLLEGE OF CHOICE (MAJOR): Next year I will be attending Slippery Rock University and will be majoring in Secondary English Education.
OTHER ACTIVITIES (SCHOOL RELATED OR COMMUNITY): I’ve also been a part of the musicals, Fall play, Spring play, the chamber strings ensemble, and the drama club.
FAVORITE HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS MEMORY: My favorite orchestra memory is my senior year PMEA District Orchestra trip. Getting to laugh and be with my friends Izzy Froedtert and Pierce Lokar who were new to going to districts this year.
FAVORITE HIGH SCHOOL SUBJECT AND FAVORITE TEACHER: My favorite high school subject is German with Frau Cramer. Frau Cramer is the kindest soul I have ever met. I’ve also gotten to get very close to her because she is the amazing choreographer of the musical. I think of Frau Cramer as more of a friend than a teacher and I’m really going to miss her and regret not getting to say goodbye.
What would you like to say to your performing arts teachers/directors?
I would like to thank Mr. Carreiro for all that he’s done for the orchestra and I and I want to thank Ms. Bronder as well for making my experience in the plays and musicals amazing too.
What would you like to say to your parents?
I want to thank my parents for the constant support with my orchestra concerts, plays, and musicals.
What would you like to say to your performing arts peers, either specifically or as a whole?
I want to thank Sam Thinnes for being my theatre partner in crime and for being my best friend for 13 years. I would also like to thank Abby McAuley for making the plays and musicals so enjoyable for me and for always being there as a friend and for a laugh.
Advice for underclassmen?
CHERISH EVERY MOMENT of High School because you never know when a global pandemic could ruin your senior year.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO ADD?????????????????????
I just want to thank the teachers and district for doing everything to feel for the seniors and being there for us during this hard time.
