Back Day Best Day?

In my personal experience, I usually spread my exercises across my body pretty evenly, as any weightlifter does.  But one day truly does hold a specific spot in my heart.  Back day <3.  Like any other teenager in the 21st century, I can tend to be quite insecure about a lot of parts of myself.  One part of myself that I have always seemed to love about myself was my back.  I have been a swimmer for most of my life and they are a very important muscle to have defined in order to propel yourself through the water and keep with the rhythm of the different strokes.  I have always seemed to have broader shoulders, (which have shown to be a slight pain when clothes shopping), but I wouldn’t trade my strength for anything.  Men’s sweatshirts are comfier anyway.  There are few things in life that feel better than a toned shoulder and back after a good workout.  Benefits from back day help overall strength and structure for your entire body.  It can help reduce back pain and help with overall posture.

Here are some of my favorite workouts to do:

.) Cable pulls

.) Rows

.) Lat pull-downs

.) The one where you lay on the bench and extend your back with weight.  (I don’t remember what they are called)

Now, let’s hear from some of our peers about their opinion on back day:

“Back day is cool,” says Senior Kyle Hawks.  “I like to do Lat pull-downs.”

Senior Nevin Peart has an alternate opinion though.  “I think chest day is better.”

Some people do have wrong opinions sometimes, but that ok!  Back day will always remain number one in my heart!
