Senior Jenna Stallsmith's Reasons to Smile

October 18, 2017

“Nothing you wear is more important than your smile.” -Connie Stevens

There are so many reasons to smile. I think as highschoolers we get so caught up in the little things that sometimes it can get in the way of our happiness. But always remember, the hard times will pass. We have so much ahead of us! So why not smile our way through it? Life is so much better when you’re happy!

Someone who is always bursting with joy is senior Jenna Stallsmith. I noticed today especially, she was glowing! (She was also so happy that she’s been doing a funny accent all day, but let’s not talk about that).

  1. What’s your reason to smile? I think there is always a reason to smile. For me, my reason is that I have food to eat, clothes on my body, a house to come home to, a family that loves me, and and unfailing Lord living in my heart. Psalms 118:24 helps me remember to smile on a bad day.
  2. What was the reasoning behind the last time you smiled? I don’t even remember the last reason for smiling. Typically I smile all the time so really I smiled because life is just so so so good.
  3. What’s your reason for happiness? Jesus Christ in my heart is my number 1 reason for being happy. If He wasn’t in my heart then trust me when I say I would not be the same today without him.
  1. Why were you smiling so big in this picture? I was smiling in this picture because Sarah Vasas was taking it and she is cute. Also fall is my FAVORITE time of the year and it fills me up with so much joy!

Hello there fellow readers! I'm a teenager who writes for fun with some pretty big dreams. Jesus is my man and he's my #1 fan! I aspire to be a  journalist someday writing in a poverty-stricken country, serving as a missionary as well. Fashion is pretty rad, and so is photography, and adventuring this pretty cool world. I enjoy writing about anything beauty, lifestyle, travel, news, mental health, or whatever is on my mind. Oh and I work at a Mexican restaurant and I love it! So now that you know a little about me, sit back, relax, and check out our newspaper!
