Art Work #4

March 7, 2019

Even though Ms. T may have a poster of JoJo Siwa on her ceiling tile, she also has two tiles painted by alumni Stephanie Kaltenbaugh, and senior Madison Nicolazzo.

“The tile that Stephanie painted was put in my room last year, and the one Madison put in my room has only been in here for a month or two,” said Ms. Thompson.

Both of the students who painted the tiles went to Ms. Thompson to see if they could paint a tile for her.

“Both students came to me, however I tell all of my students that I will take any art work they have,” said Ms. Thompson.

One of the tiles features a quote which Ms. Thomson used to do a quote of the day every day last year (also Logan and Jake Paul in a car, long story), and the other tile has a camera, newspaper, newspaper, and even her crying in the corner.

One of Ms. Thompson’s goals is to have all of her tiles painted.

“I would love to have all of my ceiling tiles painted at one point,” said Ms. Thompson.  “If I would request one tile to be painted it would be a picture that represents the summer hits of the 2000’s, which is a music station I commonly play in class.”

Although some people may think that the ceiling tiles are a waste, Ms. Thompson does not.

“I think the ceiling tiles are a great was to showcase student art work and give classrooms personalities,” said Ms. Thompson.
