What’s happening: Trump has threatened to ban Tiktok in the US three times now because of “security concerns”. The first time caused a panic amongst the app, but people were a little more calm the second time. However, the most recent threat was to take it off the app store, but if you already had the app, you could still use it. That time Trump was actually going to go through with the threat, but luckily Walmart bought the app just in time, and Tiktok announced they’re “here to stay”.
Opinion: I personally think the President should be a little more worried about the pandemic that’s happening and his reelection campaign rather than an app that teenagers use when they’re bored.
