Hidden Wonders of KHS Pt. 2
Have you ever been fearful of closed doors, thinking there’s probably a dead body waiting for you behind them? Wait, I feel like I’ve done this before. Oh, I did! If you’ve read the printed paper you’d already know what the heck I’m talking about. For the weirdos that didn’t read the paper, The Hidden Wonders of KHS is a blog about the super cool guy (me) exploring places Knoch students don’t really know about. Now enough babbling around, let’s get into the weird places.
Green House
First up we have the green house located outside below the tennis courts. Just by looking at the green house you can tell it needs some love. There’s so many cool lookin plants inside though, and it smells not as bad as you’d think. Sadly, I do think with the new renovation project happening next year, this building will be demolished. So make sure to visit this historical landmark.
Secret Classroom
Now, on to something super cool and awesome, the Secret Classroom. It’s located behind the home bleachers way back in the woods. After taking the long and muddy hike, you’ll find a bunch of benches lined up in a circle all facing inwards. It’s a really cool setting with trees and animals running around. I’m sure kids and teachers could use a break and take a walk up, but just make sure you’re not wearing sandals.
The Warehouse
Next up we have the Warehouse. The Warehouse is located right next to the greenhouse. You can’t really miss it because it has two large gates. I was lucky enough to have gone into the Warehouse and there was honestly some pretty cool stuff. First off there were really big machines, like HUGE. There was also the hoco sign tucked away behind a small trampoline? There’s so much random stuff; it’s so rad. Highly recommend.
Ms. T’s Back Room
If you ever had Ms. Thompson as a teacher I’m sure you saw this room at some point. If you never had Ms. T then you’re missing out. The back room is technically a storage room, but many students use it as a safe place to destress and have meetings. But one student in particular has claimed it as her office, senior Lauren Schriner.
All in all, exploring cool rooms at school that students don’t usually see is pretty fun. I’d suggest doing the same and take that risk. You never know what you might find.
