Today, we have a new gluten free snack and six taste testers. Will they like the gluten free snack better? Will they think it is worse than a normal cracker? Did they find their new favorite snack? We will see…
I am having these people today try my favorite gluten free saltine. When I say favorite, I mean FAVORITE. I can eat three packages of these things (there are five crackers in a package). They have a good taste and are a good portion/size. My one complaint would be that they do break very easily, which is SO sad when you pack them for lunch and go to eat them and every single cracker is broken into little pieces. 🙁 But other than that, they are a great snack.
I would rate this cracker four out of five stars.
Wyatt was the first one up. He did not hesitate and ate the entire cracker in two bites. Quite bold. He took a bite thinking ‘hey, why not? Let’s give it a try.’ He claimed that he liked it because it’s just a cracker and crackers are good. Wyatt could not taste the difference between a gluten free cracker and a normal one. He claimed that he would eat it again, if he had to. Such a negative attitude.
Wyatt gave this cracker two out of five stars.
Grace had many different opinions about the cracker. One of the first words to come out of her mouth was that they were very flakey. She claimed they were not bad but they just had a weird after-taste. She did not want to finish the whole cracker, which I don’t understand, but whatever Grace. Be a hater. Grace imagined eating them with some soup (specifically chicken noodle) and claimed that the soup would make her overall rating higher. She did not want to eat them ever again and said that she would stick to her off-brand Ritz from Aldis.
Grace gave this cracker three out of five stars.
Sam gave an interesting take on the cracker which I never thought of. He ate the cracker and then said “yup, tastes like a cracker. But like something you go to your grandparents house and this is what they have.” I feel like he was meaning this in a bad way, and I am not a fan of this unneeded hate. Sam said he could taste the difference because this one sucks and then continued to compare the taste to a piece of paper.
Sam gave this cracker three out of five stars.
Sarah was excited to try something new. I love that optimism! She loved how light the cracker was and that it has a lot of flavor. Heavy crackers are not Sarah’s cup of tea. She said tha she could not taste the difference and that she would eat it again preferably with some good dip. And get this. Sarah claimed that this gluten free cracker was SUPERIOR to normal crackers. Well there we go; mission accomplished. We found someone that enjoyed a gluten free snack by choice.
Sarah gave this cracker five out of five stars.
Codi tried the cracker and immediately said it tasted like a piece of cardboard. Codi, how do you know what cardboard tastes like? Then he continued to eat more of the cracker. He said that it broke too easily for his liking and it seems like something a baby would eat. Again Codi, are you eating baby food? Then he claimed that the cracker had no seasoning, just salt. I’m sorry since when does a cracker have seasoning? He added that he would eat it again because it is still food.
Codi gave this cracker two out of five stars.
Ava had a negative attitude towards the cracker before she even ate it. She took a bite, and didn’t say anything for at least fifteen seconds. Finally, she remarked, “hmm” with a disgusted face. She said it gets worse the more you eat it and that it was leaving a film in her mouth. Ava said that she could taste the difference and is a club cracker fan all the way. Then added that crackers go best with tomato or beef soup.
Ava gave this cracker one out of five stars.
So in this segment there was only one successful love for a gluten free cracker. But, one is better than none!!!! Come back next time to see what gluten free snack we try!
