Spooky SZN
Spooky season is here and with it comes ghost stories and all kinds of frights.. Let’s hear about some of the biggest fears at Knoch High School.
Tyler Galvin’s biggest are scary movies. When he encounters this fear he shakes. One thing he wanted to add was “kids don’t watch scary movie like rated R because it’s only for adult.”
Junior Sam Skurka’s biggest fear is ruining his future. “over time and experience I developed this fear, especially when I rethink my decisions”, said Skurka.
Sophomore Darien Gallagher and senior Reed Curry both have similar frights. Gallagher has the fear of deep ocean waters and Curry has the fear of drowning.
“I was in the ocean and either a shark or a dolphin rubbed up against my leg”, said Gallagher “. And that’s how I developed this fear.
Although these people have similar fears, their reactions when they encounter them are somewhat different. “I would probably just swim quickly out of the water”, said Gallagher. Curry’s response to drowning was, “ I’d probably panic and drown”.
One of our best substitutes at Knoch, Mr. Lesney, has a fear of not returning home from everyday travels. He lost a loved one that did not arrive at the planned destination. He wanted to put out there to be aware of your surroundings and to be careful in all activities.
So , beware of the spooks and scares that surround us, and heed the warnings of your classmates and teachers. These may not be your fears, but they could come back to haunt you all the same.
