Ever thought about getting a tattoo? You wouldn’t be alone! Although I’m sure most of us have considered it, there aren’t many high school students who have actually carried through. However, some kids have had the guts, or the permission, to get inked up. Here, you’ll get to see some of the body art wandering around Knoch High School. Click on the image to see more.

First, we have Haley Cornelius, a junior who currently has two tattoos she got last August. Both of them have meaning, the butterflies behind her ear are for mental health reasons, and the dragon fly on her back she got to match her mom. How sweet! A mother-daughter tattoo is always a good option. Clearly, they were indeed parent-approved as Haley was only 16 when she got them. She gives them about a four out of ten on the pain scale. “Since they were so long ago, I don’t really remember how much they hurt,” said Cornelius. Cornelius plans on getting more later in life, but doesn’t foresee any new tattoos in the near future.

There are certainly many different reasons to get tattoos of all sort of different meanings. Often, there is a sort of taboo about tattoos being irrational or later regretted, but it appears the students here are all very wise and put a lot of thought into their tattoos. At the end of the day, a tattoo is just like any other physical display of an individual’s personality and gives the opportunity to share something that means a lot to you. If you’re thinking about one but have been holding back, this is your sign to not be afraid and just go for it!
