Dear Knoch High School,
It’s truly going to be different when I’m not going to be seeing the same faces I have looked at for the past 12 years. As much as I say I hate this place, I’m going to miss it. It’s going to be hard not being with my friends that I have known for years. I want to shout out the lil’ bros (they know who they are) for all the great times and nights we’ve had with each other. We would always find something fun to do, and that is pretty hard when you live in a town that only has a Subway. I always had a good time in school. It’s going to be hard to walk away from all of the memories I’ve had in this building. I’m going to miss screwing around in the first period with Woz and Dante, then turning in my article about a week late like this one we are reading right now. I’m going to miss doing the Knoch News and playing in the dodgeball tournament before Christmas break. I had such a great time at this school; it’s a shame the time is up.
To the baseball team: I’m glad I came back this year after I quit my sophomore year. I lost interest in the sport, but this year has been so much fun. The atmosphere during senior night and sweeping Hampton to make the playoffs are unforgettable. I’m going to miss laughing with Coach Crawdad about something crazy and playing with Wozzy, Jacob, and all of my other teammates. I cant wait till playoffs, hopefully, we can go on a run.
To the football team: this sport has taught me so much. The battle through adversity, the constant grind to get better, and just maturing as a person. I can’t thank my coaches and teammates enough that helped me throughout my three seasons. Football has been the best part of my life, and I’m going to miss it a lot. From waking up every summer morning at 7:00 am to do the run program in the heat, Coach Burchett screaming at me because I messed up, carrying someone on my back while running up the bleachers, Farkas just acting like an idiot, and singing on the bus after a win: I would do anything to be able to play in another highschool season. Thank you Knoch football, I’ll never forget it.
Shout out Knoch, it has been great. Peace
