I know I have good judgment, I know I have good taste…
Which is why I trust myself to give you the Short n’ Sweet album by the one and only Sabrina Carpenter.
But I’ll be nice and leave this review Short n’ Sweet for you!
Can you tell I love puns? anyways..
Carpenter had released “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” before the full album dropped, and they did fantastic, topping charts right away.
Like the first song on the album though, we only got a “Taste” of what was to come.
And of course, she did not let down. The whole album is a fun, witty, and dynamic work of art.
My personal favorite on the album is the song “Bed Chem” because of its spicy and upbeat nature.
Grace Beikert said, “I think probably ‘Please Please Please’ is my favorite.”
Great take, it’s a very catchy tune!
The entire album is addicting and you’ll find yourself listening to it over and over again.
The album can be interpreted as her calling out her exes and their new romances. Me too girl, me too.
Don’t be mistaken though, the songs don’t stay in a disco-esque pop, but on “Good Graces” Sabrina gets into a little R&B.
The whole album is very dynamic, Carpenter slows it down a bit on “Don’t Smile” to show just exactly how she can do it all.
Overall, I absolutely love this album. No matter what emotions are going through your head, you can always find some comfort in “Short n’ Sweet”
8.6/10!
