Free Makeovers at Nordstroms
Every time I walk into Sephora or Ulta, I always want to get a makeover. So that’s what I did, but with some friends, and it was lit. 10/10 recommend.
Instead of paying a ridiculous amount of money at the previously said stores to get my makeup done, I went to Nordstrom because it’s free. It’s also very much appreciated if you leave a tip!!!
You have to make an appointment first via online or phone (over the phone is better). Like, it’s honestly that easy. I don’t know how it can get easier than that.
So long story short, sophomore Morgan Tupper and I hauled ourselves to Ross Park mall to get glammed up and treat ourselves.
When we got there, we found the Mac counter and I’m so happy that that’s where we ended up.
We met these two guys, CJ and Trevor, and they were the ones that did our makeup. They turned out to do an amazing job.
It only took about an hour total and it was worth every minute.
Throughout the hour, not only did they do our makeup, they taught us cool tricks and tips that anyone could take home and apply to their own beauty routine.
One of the tips which I found to be useful was that if you have dry skin, but your foundation is matte, mix it with an essential oil. Trevor used grapefruit + chamomile oil mixed with the Mac waterproof foundation on me and let me tell ya, it was great. My skin didn’t dry out OR breakout after having it on all day.
Another tip they gave us was to focus on your eyecolor. If you have green eyes, focus on bringing out the green color by using burgandy and purples etc. That is exactly what CJ did. He used a burgundy eyeshadow from the Burgundy x 9 pallete on Morgan.
By the end of the whole experience, Morgan and I looked bomb, and we treated ourselves to a shopping spree.
But with prom coming up, I would TOTALLY recommend these two gentlemen doing your makeup (just hmu I got you and tell them I sent you).
