How knowledgeable are you on Pennsylvania Law? Can you pass the LSAT if it’s put in front of you RIGHT now? Well, there are a couple of bizarre laws I bet you didn’t even know existed.
For instance, have you ever gotten the urge to sing while in the bathtub? Too bad, so sad, it is ILLEGAL. I just have so many questions about this. Who did this so frequently that they had to make a law for it? And how loudly?
This next one I did know actually, because my dad never let me forget it every time I saw a car dealership on a Sunday.
“Sorry Savannah, you can’t buy a car today, it’s illegal on Sundays!” Lives in my head rent-free. Thanks, Dad.
Sunday is historically considered a day of rest, and the laws at the time reflected that where most things were completely closed on Sundays. Though lots of these have been removed, this one still stands. I mean I get it, car buying is stressful!
This one weirds me out, because how on earth is there a way to break this law unless your child is sleeping in the middle of your backyard? A child’s bedroom cannot be more than 200 feet from a bathroom. I keep trying to think about all of the homes I’ve been in and the distance from a child’s bedroom and a bathroom. I swear I have not thought of anything more than 20 feet, and even that’s a stretch.
Sometimes, times get tough and you just really have to sleep outdoors on top of a refrigerator. Just make sure you leave the state, cause you could be breaking the law! There goes my Thursday plans.
In Bensalem, Pennsylvania, I hope you are not an elderly felon. Bensalem has zero tolerance for bingo-playing felons! Only non-felons can play bingo here!
Hopefully, you’ve been saved from ruining your reputation of being a law-abiding citizen, but always remember one key thing… do NOT bring your donkey on the trolley.
