Christmas is coming up really soon, and stores have already started putting out Christmas Decorations. If you need some Christmas decoration recommendations then keep reading!
History teacher Mr. Johnson said, “LIGHTS!!! A tree and stockings,” are a few Christmas decorations that everyone should have. “Santa has to put presents somewhere, right?”
There have been so many wonderful Christmas decorations in stores this year. Decorating for Christmas is like expressing your excitement for Christmas for everyone to see and maybe even spread some Christmas cheer.
“I love the massive blowups, Santa, Rudolph, etc. The ones that are 12-15 ft. tall,” said Mr. Johnson.
The sooner you decorate for Christmas the sooner you can just relax and enjoy the holidays. However, some people don’t feel this way. Some people think that you shouldn’t decorate until after Thanksgiving because otherwise you aren’t truly enjoying the Fall months or the holidays.
Mr. Johnson said, “We usually decorate over Thanksgiving break. I started early this year when I had free time, but most of it will get done over Thanksgiving break.”
Junior Delaney Andrews said, “I think Thanksgiving/day after is the best time to decorate. My family usually does it sometime around Thanksgiving.”
Different people have different Christmas decorating traditions.
Mr. Johnson said, “We decorate two trees. We have an “adult” tree with all of our valuable ornaments and a “kid” tree that we let my kids decorate however they want. I also put up a model train set that I’ve had since I was seven years old.”
Some people think that decorating for Christmas is the best part because the process is just wonderful. It gives you a feeling of accomplishment when you’re finished and makes you feel excited when you are decorating.
Andrews said, “I think everyone should have a tree and stockings. They are the basics, and they are so so cute.”
A lot of people really enjoy getting mini trees as well because the bigger tree can go in the living room and the smaller one can go anywhere in the house and it won’t take up much space.
Andrews said, “I love the colorful trees they have been putting out. I got a really cute mini pink tree that already had lights on it.”
Christmas is what most people consider to be the best time of the year and the holiday that brings family and friends together. Andrews said, “We also go up to my grandparents’ house every Christmas Eve.”
Some may argue that it would be best for the stores to wait a little longer to start putting out Christmas decorations.
Andrews said, “I don’t really care too much…I think it may have been better if they waited until the beginning of November to start putting stuff out.”
