Snowball Horror Stories
We all think the scariest part of spooky season is the multiple horror movies released, the cheesy haunted houses, or Halloween itself. . . but maybe it’s snowball? I mean, we look forward to it all year, and then we look back on it for the rest. It’s one of those “make it or break it’ kinda nights. Whether you had an amazing snowball that you never want to forget or had one where you pray to god he would somehow let you forget, some pretty bizarre things happen no matter how much we try to prevent them. For example, remember those random Butler dudes that crashed our dancein ’16? They also crashed my house after the dance. Or what about the incident last year and the rumors coming into this year’s dance? I tried to make some comments but Ms.T said no:( So instead just read how some other people have had really scary snowballs.

“So this happened freshman year! It was SUPER bad! It started out okay, I had a date, a dress, and I felt great. My “dates” name will remain anonymous. But anyways, here’s how it went. Like a day or two before snowball my date decided to get a girlfriend and ended up ditching me. Then another boy asked me to go with him but I turned him down… So, I went to snowball alone, no date and I felt great! Next thing I know I’m in the bathroom throwing up. If you’re guessing whether I left early or not, you are right. I was gone but the memories definitely aren’t”.

“My snowball was bad, VERY bad. I asked 3 girls and got turned down by 3 girls. First, I asked Rachel Armour and about a week later when I asked what color her dress was she told me she didn’t want to go with me anymore. You can imagine how awkward that conversation was. After that bit of disappointment I decided to ask Skylar Burkett. She’s one of the few who actually had a reasonable excuse not to go with me. She ended up having a volleyball playoff game that day and only making part of the dance, but at least she told me early enough that I had just enough time to ask one more girl on the day of snowball. She too unfortunately turned me down. Therefore, I went to snowball alone where my sister ended up getting in trouble with school for that big fiasco that I am not going into big detail about because you probably already know what i’m talking about. No worries though, you don’t have to feel bad for me because I already did enough. And I’m not going this year either so the terrible memories have no possible way of carrying on.”

“It was awful. First, I was late to my friends house, Alex jaksec, because I had to drop my brother off at his dates house. After I arrived late, we finished pictures and headed to dinner. At the restaurant I unfortunately ran into my ex, who apparently works there. Not even half way through the night and my feet were covered in blisters from my shoes and just when I thought the night couldn’t get any worse I ran into my OTHER ex, who was also eating dinner. We finally arrived at the dance, what is thought to be the best part of the night. Or at least what I thought. Just like any romantic story or movie I met a boy at the dance, who actually didn’t even go here or come with anyone. He was up for grabs in my book. We danced and talked all night. What could go wrong now right? Turns out he gave me a fake name. After He found out I knew about it he completely ignored me for the rest of the night and danced with a bunch of my friends instead. So you can imagine all the emotions that had built up inside me from the beginning of the night up until that very moment. Before I even knew it I burst into to tears in the middle of the gym. I cried all over my friend Melanie’s dress and kinda cried my eyebrows off…”

“The night started out pretty good. Nothing had completely gone wrong. Pictures, dinner, and the dance was all what I expected it to be up until one of the slow dances. My date had decided it was an okay idea to just lay one on me in the middle of the slow dance. It was so unexpected and I had no clue how to react. So, I waited for the song to finally end and awkwardly ran away with Emma’s face still on my dress.”
Well, we did it! Snowball is over and who knows what’s being said about everyone’s different experiences they had. Whether yours was good or bad, lemme know in the comment section!!
