Kicking Back With Tori

You may not know this but there are some cat people in Knoch high school. Sophomore Tori Greenawalt with her favorite 15 year old cat, Lexi.

Do you know the loudest girl in the cafeteria, the girl that somehow knows all of the answers in every class, girl who is a cat lover, a soccer player, and class Vice President?  I know her, you may have heard about her, but do you really know sophomore Tori Greenawalt.  Do you know how funny, caring, and good at giving back rubs she really is?

Junior friend and teammate Melanie McCalip said “10/10, she has the magic touch when it comes to back rubs, she also gives amazing pep-talks.”

“I used to get payed for my back rubs,” said Greenawalt. “So I would assume they would be good.”

And as far as pep-talks, Tori gives a lot of them.

“I have the worst memory so I can’t remember if Tori ever gave me a pep-talk, I’m sure she did though and I am sure it was good,” said sophomore and friend Rory McCune.

If you are wondering how these ladies met, it was through soccer.

“Seeing each other every day for soccer really helped us become friends,” said McCune.

“The first time I met Tori was during soccer when we were 10 or 11,” said McCalip “I thought she was cool, really nice and friendly.”

Making friends is not the only great thing about soccer in Greenawalt’s eyes.

“My favorite thing about soccer is the thrill of a good game. Also all of the emotions whether good or bad,” said Greenawalt.

This year the first year ever that the girls soccer team has made it to AAA playoffs.

“I was overjoyed when I heard we made playoffs,” said Greenawalt. “Especially getting to play in the game, and ending the half 0-0.”

If there was one thing Tori would change about soccer is the amount of people that go to the games.

“People always say that you need to support our school, don’t they,” said Greenawalt.

“I think people should go to all of the sports, these people work hard as helk to play their best,” said McCune. “If I didn’t have volleyball I would be at the soccer games and tennis matches.”

And even though it may seem that she knows how to balance soccer with school work she does not, “I don’t,” said Greenawalt “honestly no one does.”

But she does suggest to do extra curricula activities “I always ended up staying up way to late doing homework, but it all ends up working out,” said Greenawalt. “Go for it, worry about the other things later you are only in high school for four years,” said Greenawalt.

“Tori was always very busy, and always wanted to be doing something,” said Mrs. Greenawalt Tori’s mom.

The one quote that would describe Tori would be:

“There is no force equal to that of a determined women,” said Mrs. Greenawalt.

“That one sums me up pretty dang good,” said Greenawalt

And as far as what the future has in store for her, it should be bright.

“After high school, I could see Tori with a good job, maybe doing a mathy or talky thing, and succeeding. She will also probably have a lot of cats,” said McCalip.

“She can take a strong lead in a company,” said Mrs. Greenawalt.

“Seriously anything, she’s brilliant so she can go on and do ANYTHING,” said McCune.

Greenawalt is a great person to talk to and be friends with.  She always tries to see the best in everything that comes her way.

“She is the most amazing daughter I could ever ask have, we are built in best friends and she is great to talk to!” said Mrs. Greenawalt.

Lillie Leasure is a sophomore.  She enjoys soccer, band, friends, and family.  She strongly dislikes when people do stupid things.
