What Y’all Mad About Today?

Quick fact, I love shopping. Clothes, shoes, food; you name it & I’m there. I seldom complain about shopping. However, today is an exception. I am straight FED UP with shopping for winter clothing. Unnecessarily spending money is great. BUT unnecessarily spending money on ANOTHER GREY SWEATER will be the death of me. Gee, I’d really like to buy this cute mini skirt but I won’t be able to wear it for another 4 months, 3 winter storms, and 8 snow-squalls. Pure. Torture.

The worst part about winter shopping is that it has to be done, which turns it into a vicious cycle. At the start of the winter season, I’m somewhat excited to wear all the sweaters, jackets, and boots I’ve had stashed away all summer. So I wear them all multiple times and do a pretty bang up job of disguising the fact that I’ve been wearing the same vest for 5 days in a row, just with different shirts and skirts. Eventually, I can’t fake it anymore, I have to shop for some new clothes to bundle up in. The first winter shopping trip is a blast and I’m always incredibly excited to stock up. So I put all my new clothes through the works until, uh oh. I have to shop again. The cycle goes around about 3 or 4 times. It makes me nauseous.

And to make it all so much worse, all the stores have super cheap summer clothing all winter because they have an abundance left over from the summer. But even though this flowery romper is only $4.50, I cannot justify buying it in the middle of January.

OR, stores decide to put out their new summer collection NOW. Really Old Navy? You’re going to flaunt your sundresses NOW? As if the freezing rain and black ice weren’t enough to make us hate our lives, now we have to deal with cute clothes that we can’t wear.

The irony of it all is that I don’t have any money to spend on clothes anyway, so maybe this is a sign to stop spending money.
