Flag Description: A white background with a large red cross in the center touching all sides. in the four sections there are smaller red crosses.
Year Current Flag started being used: 2004(similar flag was used between 1008 and 1490).
History of Flag: The flag of Georgia varied greatly through the years when rulers of countries changed.
Facts about Country:
1. Georgia was under Soviet control for 66 years.
2. It boarders Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia.
3. The most notable person from Georgia is Soviet Leader Joseph Stalin.
4. The population is roughly 3.7 million.
5. The currency of Georgia is called the Georgian Iari.
