Sophomore Noah Musloe, also known as Lil Muz, is on the come up as one of Knoch’s best rappers.
“I don’t have any inspiration. “I try to be the best version of myself,” Lil Muz said.
Lil Muz first got into rapping in 2020 during the pandemic.
“I had a YouTube channel and wanted more subscribers, so I started rapping,” said Lil Muz.
Almost four years later, he has 270 subscribers on YouTube and is on all music streaming platforms. Not only has Muz gained a lot of popularity on social media and other platforms, but he also gained the attention of some local radio and news stations. He landed a special interview with KDKA and has had his music played on Saxonburg radio.
The first song he ever wrote and recorded was called “Everybody”. He will tell you that it is an awful song, it doesn’t make any sense, and he doesn’t like it. But, “it’s all about that first step,” said Muz.
‘It’s really special to see how far I have come,” said Lil Muz. “It’s my passion to make music and I hope I can continue to grow.”
When he first started recording his music he had a $5 mic and would record in this little space in his basement. He would get his beats off YouTube but now he produces them himself. Not only does he produce his beats, but he has a studio in his house that he has built and kept adding to over the years, known as “The Stu”.
Since then, Muz has made three albums and is working on his fourth right now. It’s called “Circling Back” and will be available to stream now.
Senior Landen Musloe, Lil Muz’s brother, admires his brother’s determination in his music career.
“I’m very proud of my brother,” said Landen. “I hope he can pay for me when I’m old and frail.”
Landen said he gets asked “quite a bit” about his brother being a rapper.
Even though Lil Muz said that he doesn’t have any inspirations, he did admit that his favorite rapper is Mac Miller. You can see that through his music and the beats he makes.
Lil Muz’s rap career is only getting started and will only continue to grow over the coming years.
He hopes to “live off making music and make it a full-time job, and inspire others to do the same.”
