Do you know Izabella Spencer? You may know this generous and welcoming sophomore as a flute player in the marching band or from singing the alto part in the concert choir.
Spencer enjoys being in the concert choir very much. She has been taking choir for seven years. She joined choir when she was in fourth grade. She said that she was inspired to join the choir because she loves to sing and it looked like it would be fun. Spencer hasn’t always gone to Knoch. She moved here when she was in first grade from Cambridge Springs in Erie.
After high school, she plans to go to school to become a daycare worker.
English teacher Mrs. West said, “Izabella is so kind, caring, hardworking, and compassionate. I could see her working with animals in the future although I’m not sure if that’s what she likes.”
Mrs. West has had a lot of Spencer’s family members, including both her siblings and both her parents and step dad, as her students.
“I think I’ve had them all,” she said.
A piece of advice Mrs. West has for Spencer, or all students in general is, “You will always have to work hard, so find something you love and work hard on that.”
Spencer juggles going to school, being in the concert choir, marching band, family time, and time for friends very well. She does all this while chasing her dream to be a daycare worker. It takes a lot of work and good time management to be able to do all of this.
Spencer’s advice for anyone entering their sophomore year is, “Don’t be stressed out about everything; it might just make things harder and ask for help when you need it.”
Spencer is a very nice and generous person. She has many friends. She also has four siblings that she gets along with very well.
One of her friends said that her favorite thing about Spencer is her personality.
Sophomore Maddie Williams said, “She is very loyal and will stand up for people who don’t stand up for themselves.”
Williams thinks the song that describes Izabella best is “Get Back Up Again” from the Trolls movie.
Spencer has great advice for anyone.
She said, “Don’t be so afraid to go out of your comfort zone and talk to new people; you may just find your best friend for life. I know I did with a few new people I talked to.”
