Based on current reports, Nicolás Maduro Moros, the president of Venezuela since 2013, and his wife Cilia Adela Flores de Maduro are being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York by President Donald Trump of the U.S. Both Maduro and Flores pleaded not guilty to the charges held against them, which include: narco-terrorism and drug trafficking charges. They are currently scheduled for further proceedings starting March 17th.
In Oakmont, PA, more locally, an ICE operation–which is taking over some parts of our country, and has now spread to Pennsylvania–led to the arrest of a father right in front of his daughter. Jose Flores was detained outside of his home after ICE agents claimed his immigration was illegal. His daughter, Lily Flores, age eight years old, was devastated and yelling for her father. The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, sent a private message to President Trump regarding interceding in world conflicts. Macron claimed that they could do “great things in Iran,” and he also questioned President Trump and his motives about Greenland saying, “I do not understand what you are doing on Greenland.” (More Information)
