Kennedy Christy
The Knoch volleyball team is well known throughout the WPIAL, having won states last year and so far the section this year. One Volleyball star is junior Kennedy Christy, who has been starting varsity since freshman year.
Going into this season they were very confident on how they would do, needless to say they met their expectations.
“We expected to do well this season and we won the section!” said Christy
Although the volleyball team has seemed to beat anyone they faced easily, they did face some challenges.
“Toughest team we faced by far was Central Valley, they are a very competitive team. It is also always a hard fought game when we play our rivals, Freeport” said Christy
Christy explained that Kerrie Fitzpatrick is this year’s team leader and also said to keep an eye on a new starting player.
“Kerrie just never seems to mess up and is always calm which is what makes her a good leader. Fans should also keep an eye on Skylar Burkett who is new on varsity but has been a big contribution to this year’s success.”
Keep an eye on this year’s volleyball team as they head into the WPIAL playoffs.
