Blair’s Bone-Chilling Horror Movie Reviews

Blair Bowen, Staff Writer

Hello readers, my name’s Blair and I’m a sucker for anything scary. Although life in and of itself is scary enough as it is, I find that adding in a touch of horror, preferably in terms of movies, can numb the dullness and/or pain of living. As a youngster, even when life was significantly less frightening, Tim Burton was still my favorite director and I was obsessed with movies of his such as Corpse Bride and Coraline. Needless to say, my parents were slightly confused with my new interest, but I still watched and enjoyed them nonetheless. Luckily for me, in the past few years some of my favorite memories with my dad have been spent watching scary movies together. He introduced me to the classics of horror movies. While we sometimes branch off into a psychological thriller, horror is our go-to genre for a movie night. Now don’t think that I as a person am scary or mean. I’m probably one of the most sensitive and empathetic people you’ll talk to. I just like to be spooked out of my wits! It’s not just the movies I like, however. Halloween holds a special place in my heart along with fall, cats, pumpkin spice lattes (basic I know), and anything else revolving around autumn or spooky things. I would love for you to watch the movies reviewed so you can let me know if you agree with my opinion or not. Whether it be personal favorites I write about, new movies I have yet to see, or your classmate’s favorite movie that sends shivers down their spine, we’ll cover it all in my blog! So grab some popcorn, sit back, relax, and enjoy the blog! And don’t forget to stay spooky 😉
