We are starting to become a team and not individuals.

What kind of impact is covid having on the team?

A few players weren’t able to play because of covid but other than there’s not that much impact

What should the fans expect from this season?

They expect us to make playoffs and win first round

Myself, Jared cushy, Nick Dellarosa, Caleb Oskin, and Aaron Butler

We have a really good mindset

Tennis

Name: Megan Mitchell

Grade: Senior

What kind of impact is covid having on the team?

Someone on the team (it was me) got covid during our first week of practice and put like most of the team into quarantine for a week, but other than that, I don’t think covid has had as big of an impact this year.  It’s the weather that has been a pain this season.

What should the fans expect from this season?

They should expect to see some really good tennis.  We have a very gifted team, and we expect to go pretty far.

Who are the key players or leaders on the team?

Ally Bauer (captain), Emily Greb, Lindsey Greb, and Ava Santora.

Biggest rival?

Sewickley Academy, but we won’t have to face them until WPIAL’s.

How’s the team doing as a whole?

The team is doing great! We’ve only lost one month, and it was non-section.

What does the team expect from this season?

I think we expect to win sections for like the sixth year in a row or something, and our goal is to win WPIAL’s and state’s again for the second year in a row.

Name: Dylan Jackson

Grade: Senior

What kind of impact is covid having on the team?

Honestly nothing really.

What should the fans expect from this season?

The fans AlCA Mr.Voltz should expect not a lot of wins, A little bit hostile, and a lot of fun.

Who are the key players and leaders on the team?

With a packed roster full of heat. It’s hard to say we have any icy players, but a few that stick out play-in and day out are dean Machine

Biggest Rival?

I’d say our biggest rival is Highlands, it’s always a close match and coach definitely losses sleep over that one.

How’s the team doing as a whole?

The team is doing great.  We all get along great, we love to play golf and have fun

What does the team expect from this season?

Team expeditions are at an all-time high. We’re probably going to go undefeated starting today and make it to states.

Girls Soccer

Name: Megan Vasas

Grade: Junior

Position: Attacking mid

What kind of impact is covid having on the team?

A lot of our games have been getting cancelled

What should the fans expect from this season?

There will be a major improvements from the past years

Who are the key players or leaders on the team?

Macrina Robb is very important to the scoring part.  Grace Foehringer is also key as to out goalie, she’s great

Biggest Rival?

We don’t have a whole team rival but personally I’d really like to beat Indiana and Gateway

How’s the team doing as a whole?

We lost a few people to our quarantine and injury but we’re still much better that before.

What does the team expect from this season?

We’re going to have many close games that are competition

Boys Cross Country

Name: Evan Chess

Grade: Junior

Position: Captain of the Cross Country team

What kind of impact is covid having on the team?

Covid has forced some of our teammates to quarantine.  Since we are a small team, not having one of our teammates can mean the difference between winning and losing.

What should the fans expect from this season?

The meets will be smaller due to covid restrictions, the meets can’t be many as large as they once were

Who are the key players or leaders on the team?

I’d say the team captains, myself and Sheldon Deal.  Also Elijah Ruediger and Austen Haugh are always running their hardest and getting good places at race

Biggest Rival?

Freeport and Riverview

How’s the team doing as a whole?

Overall good.  There seen a lot of changes from past years and I feel we’ve been training very hard for big invites.

What does the team expect from this season?

We hopefully expect to win the section this year and to keep training to run our best at the WPIAL championship.

Volleyball

Name: Nicole Critchlow

Position: Libero

What kind of impact has covid had on the team?

Covid has made things challenging at times with players being quarantined, but we always do our best to work around the difficulties.

What should fans expect from this season?

Although we have been challenged so far, I think people can expect big things from us in the upcoming season as our team continues to grow.

Who are the key players?

Everyone on our team are key players because volleyball is definitely not a one man’s job.

Biggest rival?

Everything thinks it would be Mars, but honestly, I say Freeport or Hampton because they’re always

How is the team doing as a whole?

We are all working together and building our new team this season. Every game is a better one and the best is yet to come.

What does the team expect from this season?

We expect to learn and grow together as a team being we have a lot of younger players this year, it is fun to work with them and watch their skills progress throughout the season.

Girls Cross Country

Name: Jaydon Crawford

Grade: 12

Position: Captain

What kind of impact has covid had on the team?

We have had many athletes quarantine because of exposure. We also have the threat of the whole team being shut down if one of us tests positive.

What should fans expect from this season?

Definitely keep an eye out for us to take section again for the third season in a row. Also watch out for us at WPIALS!

Who are the key players?

Yumiko Kuo and Eli Ruediger

Biggest rival?

Our biggest rival this season is Freeport.

How is the team doing as a whole?

We are doing well but there’s a couple bumps in the road this year.

What does the team expect from this season?

We are expecting to win sections and possibly go to states. So keep an eye out for us!!
