Goodwill Grabs #2
On to blog numero dos. For this time around, I ask sophomore Rory McCune to help me out. Known for her mixed modern vintage style, McCune always has a way of standing out while still being comfy. She let us in on the secrets of her closet and shopping habits and we hope they help you on your next endeavors to the vast realms of the thrift stores. 🙂
Q: Have you found any small thrift stores that maybe aren’t as popular as Goodwill but you feel the rest of our audience should definitely visit?
A:Â Trust me ive been trying to find one but then i just end up going to goodwill because im impatience
Q: What is your all-time favorite thrift find?
A: my jacket that i literally bought 2 days ago, its a rain jacket material, black on top and yellow on the bottom.
Q: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever found in a thrift store?
A:usually the girls clothing which is why i shop in the mens section
Q: Do you have any funny stories from a thrifting adventure?
A: sadly no because when i walk into the store i go straight to the mens section and i usually can find stuff in 5 minutes that is within my money range
Q: What do you hope to find on your next trip?
A: more huge sweaters
Q: Anyhting else?
A: if you dont thrift shop, your really missing out
Ever since I was little, I’ve had what my dad calls a “gasoline-rear,” meaning I could never stay in one place for long; always wanting to go out and explore. Whether that be going out to eat with friends or shopping for something I probably don't need, I’m constantly on the run.
I have big dreams of making it to the city and becoming something great, even though all my plans on getting there are still fuzzy. I'm looking into going for a business major but school is still undecided :)
But as for now, I’m still a student at Knoch just like the rest of you, waiting for the day I can throw my cap in the air and have my diploma in hand. So while we’re all here, why not make the most of it and go out and adventure some more.
