For my first post, I’ll be doing myself! My whole closet consists of little treasures I was so lucky to find at local thrift shops and I am not afraid to say it. Some people might not like to say that they got their clothes from a Goodwill or a Salvation Army but I will always answer with 100% honesty when asked about my outfits.

In this specific thrift store trip, I snagged 2 Liz Claiborne skirts, a big, blue sweater, and a couple big college t-shirts that I am totally in love with. In the picture down below, I have on one of the skirts and it’s red and white stripped with a big zipper down the center for a little extra flare and one of my absolute favorites EVER!! But enough about just this one trip, let’s get to the bigger picture!

Q: Have you found any small thrift stores that maybe aren’t as popular as Goodwill but you feel the rest of our audience should definitely visit?

A: There was one small thrift store I went into while in Pittsburgh and it was the cutest little vintage shop and everything in it looked like it came from a famous Tumblr person and I was so tempted to blow all the money I owned in that single store. I ended up only buying a pair of mom jeans but they are my favorite jeans in the world.

Q: What is your all-time favorite thrift find?

A: By far my Air Force 1’s from the Goodwill in Butler. My brother was messing around and was digging through a cart full of different shoes. He pulled up these white AF1’s that were in really good condition and they didn’t for him but were an absolute perfect fit for me. I ended up buying them for I think $6 and I would wear them every single day of my life if I could.

Q: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever found in a thrift store?

A: I once found a chia pet of Obama hidden behind a bunch of cups in Butler and I almost cried from laughing so hard.

Q: Do you have any funny stories from a thrifting adventure?

A: Once I went to the Goodwill in Cranberry with a couple of my friends and it was the night before spirit week and we were all trying to find great outfits. Everyone knowing how much I loved thrifting, they’d hand me anything funny they could find and I’d try it on and one of these things were these ginormous crazy colored heels and I walked around the whole place strutting my stuff and having the time of my life.

Q: What do you hope to find on your next trip?

A: Hopefully more big sweaters because a girl can never have too many sweaters in the fall and winter.
