Junior couple Shayne Zappi and Jenny Painter before snowball being couple goals, and then me wondering how they do it.

Imma be straight up; love is stupid, it sucks, and I don’t see the point of it.

The best time to be in love is when you’re in preschool. Lemme tell you, those were the days. Nobody expected certain things from you. Little did we know…

But once you hit middle school, love gets real weird. All the “relationship” would consist of is holding hands while walking to lunch, not making any eye contact or conversation what so ever with all of your friends antagonizing you. To top it off, that is the only time you would see them during the week and you would consider it a “date.”

It only gets worse from there, though. Once you hit high school, that’s when love gets “serious.”

Almost everyone starts looking for some sort of relationship no matter who the person is. You start to actually go out on dates, and sometimes, they end up meeting the family… it’s gross.

Then when you break up, it can be all chill and good, or it can be like watching this years election go down. It can be crazy.

Since some people don’t know what maturity is, they’ll subtweet you on twitter about the breakup, and look stupid doing it. Like, nobody cares how you messed up, and last time I checked, I don’t think you friends were part of the relationship… They’ll also text your cousins about it so beware…

But the WORST part of love is Valentine’s Day. No matter how old you are, and how awkward it is, you can’t avoid the horrible day.

It’s just really pointless. I can’t stress that enough. Like, why single out one day of the year to show your love for someone? It’s just an excuse of a day to make up for everything you did wrong throughout the rest of the year. I don’t get it.

Why can’t you do nice things for your significant other all the time? Buy them chocolate and flowers for the heck of it, treat them to a nice dinner, surprise them with Sheetz, oR ACTUALLY TAKE THEM OUT ON A NICE DATE!!! I’m not saying you have to do it once a week, but why do it one day out of the year and never again?

I know some of you are probably reading this and feel offended because you do those things. Well shoutout to you because you’re actually doing it right.

So this is just a reminder to all the single people in the world; we have 364 days of the year for ourselves, and we can take ourselves out on dates. So it’s fine, everything’s fine, trust me, it’s fine. We got this.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
