If you have never heard of Michael Jackson, you are straight up capping dawg. MJ might be the most popular human to ever walk this earth, only second to sweet-baby Jesus, and maybe Julius Caesar, but still that is a lowkey highkey crazy stat that a singer is on the same list as a dude who literally died and came back to life, and the first emperor of like the greatest Empire in all of history.
Speaking of dying, did you know that Michael Jackson died, RIP, but it was in 2009 before most of our school’s population were born. Anyway, before the fame, Jackson was born in 1958, as the 8th born kid of 11, in the steel-working town of Gary Indiana. The Jackson’s father Joe (bad guy) decided he wanted to make his boys successful, so he created the Jackson 5, with Michael as the singer. This band got so popular, that the family was able to end up moving to California, live in a big mansion, and made millions of dollars off the music they made.
Due to Michael’s popularity for being the lead singer of the Jackson 5, he launched a solo career and was way more successful doing that instead. Over the course of his life Michael was dubbed the King of Pop and had ridden off into the sunset, leaving the Jackson 5 behind.
The other members of the Jackson 5 include:
Jackie, who is still in the band today and has remained throughout the entire run of the band.
Marlon, who also is still in the band, but really that’s it
Tito, who unfortunately died 2 years ago, but was a founding member and was a central part of the band during the early years.
Jermaine, aka Muhammad Abdul Aziz Sharif, after the band left Motown Records in 1976, he left, and rejoined later in 1983. Also is the father of Jaafar Jackson, who played Michael in the Michael movie.
Randy, the second youngest child of big Joe, joined the band after Jermaine left in 1976. Not much interesting about him
Okay the moment you have all been waiting for the past couple of minutes, ranking all 6 members of the Jackson 5.
At 6: Randy
Wasn’t there for any of the globe spanning hits, joined the band late, just an afterthought when it comes to the band.
5: Marlon
Genuinely probably the glue guy of the band. I really have no idea what else he did other than be the brother of some of the most popular people in the world.
4: Tito
Spots 2-4 were a hard ranking that I have given much much thought to. I have to put Tito here, but I would respect you if he was your 2.
3: Jermaine:
In my opinion, he is tied with Tito for the most part, what really sets him over the edge is Jaafar being his son.
2: Jackie
He’s been in the band the entire time, it would be a crime for him not to be 2
1: Michael
I mean this was a no brainer, I could see you putting Michael lower because he left the band and stuff, but this is my list not yours. When you say Jackson, the first person, hopefully, that comes to your mind is the big Mike. If we were ranking any artist in the past 50 years, Michael is 1 undeniably, so no surprise here.
