Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without a table heaped with delicious foods. All the traditional dishes like mashed potatoes, stuffing, and of course turkey, may not be the only thing our students enjoy on Thanksgiving Day.

Many students’ least favorite traditional food is turkey. You may be confused because it is the main course of thanksgiving, but many people would rather enjoy stuffing themselves with all the side dishes.

Students claim that they eat weird/nontraditional foods on Thanksgiving. Senior Jaydon Crawford said, “We usually have smoke filet mignon as well because half of my family doesn’t like turkey.”

Another obviously wealthy student mentioned they eat scallops, lobster tails, and king crab legs.

Although the students’ meals may sound weird, people all around the country celebrate with untraditional foods. Here are the top five nontraditional meals prepared and enjoyed on Thanksgiving.

Turducken

This is known as a three bird roast. The word comes from the combination of turkey, duck, and chicken. It consists of stuffing a deboned chicken into a deboned duck, further stuffed into a deboned turkey. If you’re feeling adventurous this Thanksgiving, you should give this a try.
